What's it like to come to Nall Avenue Church of the Nazarene?
Please come as you are!
Sunday mornings we begin at 9:30 with Sunday school, or Christian education classes, for infants through senior adults. This includes study and prayer time and a terrific opportunity to get to know others at Nall. The front door greeters will be able to direct you to the appropriate classes for you and your family.
At 10:30 we gather in both the chapel in Spanish and in the sanctuary in English beginning with the unmistakable sounds of worship. Talented musicians and vocalists bring an eclectic mix of praise music, including restyled hymns. Don't be surprised to hear a few guitar riffs, violin or flute solos, or even a djembe drumbeat now and again. The service includes times of prayer and a sermon prepared by one of our pastoral staff. Nursery is provided, and younger school-aged children join in the worship time and are dismissed for Children's Church before the sermon begins. We observe the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of each month. All believers in Jesus Christ are welcome to join in communion regardless of church affiliation.
On Saturday evenings at 6:00, the Word and Table service meets in the chapel on the upper level of the building across from the church office. This is a casual, interactive time of liturgical worship and prayer which includes music, object lessons, communion, and a short message. There is no nursery provided on Saturday night but you are welcome to bring children to the service.
